Dr. Kenneth Boyd was born and raised in southern California. He completed his undergraduate education
at The University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He earned his medical degree in 1980 from The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and completed surgical training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He then trained in colon and rectal surgery at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He joined the practice in 1986. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is Clinical Professor of Surgery, Temple University School of Medicine, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery, Drexel University College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons, and serves as the Cancer Liaison Physician to the American College of Surgeons at Riddle Hospital's Cancer Program. His interests are colorectal cancer surgery, with an emphasis on sphincter preservation, minimally invasive surgery, proctology, benign colon conditions, and colon cancer screening.
Dr. Samir Parikh was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and then raised in New York City and Long Island. He left for Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York for an accelerated 6-year combined Bachelor's of Science from Rennselaer and a medical degree from Albany Medical College. He stayed in Albany for his internship and then went to York Hospital in Pennsylvania for surgical residency. Following his stay in York, Dr. Parikh moved to New Jersey to spend one year in Colon & Rectal Surgery residency (fellowship) with the world famous Dr. Salvati. He has worked in the field ever since and for the last ten years, has dedicated and limited his practice to Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is doubled board certified in General Surgery and Colon & Rectal Surgery as well as recently recertified. He holds fellowship status with both specialty boards as well as the specialty societies including the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Parikh's interest centers around the patient care experience specifically in offering non-surgical and holistic approaches when feasible. When necessary, minimally invasive surgery is always the goal. In his spare time, Dr. Parikh enjoys maximizing the time spent with his wife and two daughters in travel and various sporting activities.
