ABOUT THE DOCTORS

SAMIR N. PARIKH, MD, FACS, FASCRS

This practice has been treating patients for colorectal diseases for over 50 years. Dr Parikh has been in private practice for over 19 years. He and his staff strive to provide high quality care while building a relationship with their patients and providing care with compassion. Dr. Parikh deeply believes in the strength of the bond he develops with his patients and their families. 

   Dr Parikh is double board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. He holds fellowship status with both specialty boards and is a member in good standing of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He takes the best care of  his patients using a non-surgical and holistic approach when feasible before offering surgical options.

     Beyond the scope of his practice, Dr. Parikh was instrumental in the development of Mainline Health system’s current electronic medical records system. Dr. Parikh was the physician lead on the team that developed the current standards of handling of surgical specimens for the Mainline Health system. He is the current lead for surgical mortality review and is an active member of the peer review committee.

 In his spare time, Dr Parikh enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, traveling and engaging in various sporting activities.

KENNETH J. BOYD, MD, FACS - Retired

Dr. Kenneth Boyd joined the practice in 1986, and retired April 30th 2020. We wish him a great retirement!
